Eonian Records World Of Sin Press Release:
Lypswitch Releases World Of Sin Video

Written in early 1989 and debuted at the Troubadour in Hollywood on January 14, 1989 at a show with Funhouse.

This immediately became the new show opener for most of 1989.

The song is about the realities of life in Los Angeles and what the band was seeing, feeling and living each day.

The song also inspired the World of Sin Design that was originally designed by David and KA and then brought to life by Alan Forbes, and he did an amazing job. The artwork was on all of the band's flyers, jackets and the bass drum head. In 2024 the artwork was updated by Eddi Calzada for the Eonian Records release of the World of Sin Album.

The World of Sin Design inspired a short story by Horror Writer Laura Shell. Read It Now!

World of Sin

Music and Lyrics by David Love
Written in 1989 recorded in 2018

In Los Angeles you're either good or bad
the good are rich and the bad are mad
We live for tomorrow and die today
Lord giveth, Lord taketh away
Year after year , tear after tear
Everyone's a liar and no one cares

We live in a world of sin,
Waitin' for our ship to roll in
We live in a world of sin
The glamour the glory, and no regrets

Some kill to live, some live to kill
Some just want someone to sleep with
Well I'm chipin' away at this old stone,
Tryin get something to take back home
Everyone's out to make you bad
Everyone wants what the other one has

We live in a world of sin,
Waitin' for our ship to roll in
We live in a world of sin
The glamour the glory, and no regrets

"Danny sounds really good on this, you can really hear the anger in his voice" - David Love

"This is definitely one of my favorite Lyp songs of all time. It is heavy and I really like the vibe we had going here. Being able to re-record the song we were able to polish some things up that were left unfinished back in the late 80's. " - KA

The cowbell used in the 2018 recording is the same cowbell from 1988 that was used at almost every Lypswitch show back in the day.
